So as well as editing The Good Web Guide I’m a freelance web editor and at the moment, I'm at London Fashion Week, which started the week with a bang! Whilst I usually work behind the scenes I also got to go to some of the shows - which was a real pleasure (usually I’m stuck behind my desk for upwards of fourteen hours per day!). First stop was Somerset House where I watched Orla Kiely (favourite of The Duchess of Cambridge) present a beautiful, forties inspired collection, full of printed tea dresses and chiffon party frocks with glittery bow collars.
Also showing at the prestigious venue was the extremely talented Sophie Hulme. Stocked in Selfridges, I am in love with her thick rectangular leather bags with their large buckles and gold metal wear. Her collection of silk skirts and dresses were also to die for. I have been hankering after my friend Lucy’s glittery hooded parka for well over a year now… This designer is on the ascent and is going to be huge!
JW Anderson was another show I loved - inspired by the mental asylum it brought a real One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s nest feel to proceedings. Not for the faint hearted - but so great to see a designer really pushing the boundaries...
Of the shows I edited for the web, House Of Holland was my favourite – it was absolutely beautiful - I hadn’t been a fan before but there was something so much more adult and refined about the colourful geometric prints he sent down the runway - so bright and uplifting in this dark and dreary weather…
There were so many interesting events too. Stella McCartney had a great party at Masons Yard, where the fashion glitterati were out in full force including Kate Moss, Amber Valetta and Shalom Harlow. Then there was the Mulberry dinner in aid of its new bag inspired by the full-lipped singer Lana Del Rey. Michelle Williams, Elizabeth Olsen and Alexa Chung joined a whole host of other celebrities in Lincoln’s Inn.
All in all it’s been an incredible LFW! Moschino even showed its collection here for the first time! MCQ came back too. Stella showed evening wear! London it seems is back on the fashion radar!
Tomorrow I fly to Milan – next stop on the fashion juggernaut! I’ll be taking my Berocca and wheat grass powder with me... Stay tuned for another report…!

Stella McCartney's evening wear is totally somthing to die for. I can't beleive how could be she so productive and each next collection is way better than the previous one. I can bravely say that she is absolutely among my favourites for a lifetime.
